Brief Company History...
Carlin Crabtree and his dad, J. B. Crabtree, have been involved in
the farm machinery business for many years. Prior to the formation of C
& W Farm Equipment, Carlin and J. B. had left the farm machinery
business. They came back to the family farm just to do that, farm. But,
folks would bring their tractors to them for Repair work "when they had
time to fix them". Thus, C & W Farm Equipment was born.
Carlin and J. B. Crabtree started C & W Farm Equipment in 1977 as a
tractor repair service. In 1979 the business took on the Deutz Tractor
line, it's first major wholegoods product. Today, the business still
sells parts and service for the Deutz tractors.
Over our 22 years in business, some products have come and gone, but
the business has established a solid reputation for service in
the community and surrounding areas. We not only service the wholegood
lines that we sell, but we also service many of the brands that we do
not carry.
During the 80's and 90's, we took on many of the lines that are our
main suppliers today. These suppliers include products lines such as
Bush Hog, Kuhn, M & W, Hesston, Massey Ferguson, Farmhand and Tye.
Our facility consists of two buildings. One building is used for parts
and sales. The other building is used as our service center. And, as of
recently, we also have a small in-house machine shop which is capable
of making shafts, grinding flywheels and etc...
